Job Description

Project Manager (PMKVY)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager (PMKVY) to oversee and manage the successful implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) project. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the efficient execution of various skill development programs under PMKVY. This role involves managing a team, liaising with stakeholders, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with government guidelines. The ideal candidate should have excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of the PMKVY framework, and a passion for skill development and youth empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, and key deliverables, aligned with PMKVY objectives.
    • Coordinate with various stakeholders such as training providers, government agencies, and local partners to ensure smooth project implementation.
    • Ensure adherence to government guidelines, policies, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Team Management:

    • Lead and supervise the project team, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure the successful execution of project activities.
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, ensuring continuous skill development and performance improvement.
  3. Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Regularly track and monitor project progress, including milestones and outcomes, to ensure project targets are met.
    • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and corrective actions.
    • Conduct project reviews and provide recommendations for improving processes and achieving project goals.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Maintain effective communication with government officials, training partners, industry stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
    • Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote the PMKVY program and ensure stakeholder alignment.
    • Address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
  5. Compliance and Documentation:

    • Ensure all project activities are compliant with PMKVY guidelines and government regulations.
    • Maintain proper documentation of project activities, financial records, and progress reports for auditing and accountability purposes.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A background in vocational education, skill development, or public administration is an advantage.
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably in the skill development, vocational training, or government-funded projects. Experience in managing PMKVY or similar programs is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management Expertise: Solid experience in project planning, execution, and monitoring, with a focus on meeting deadlines, managing budgets, and ensuring quality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of PMKVY: A clear understanding of the PMKVY framework, skill development programs, and government procedures related to vocational training initiatives.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
